DESCRIPTION
The cinnamon tree (Cinnamomun cassia blume) is an evergreen native to China and Vietnam that has since been cultivated in many other regions.
It has shiny, leathery green leaves, and small, white flowers with oval shaped purple berries.the Chinese recorded medicinal use of
cinnamon bark in 2,700 B.C. Cinnamon also earns a mention in the Bible and was later listed in Dioscorides'
De Materia Medica, perceived to be an extensive reference of medicinal plants of that particular time in history.
